Hi! I’m Phuong, a freshman at Los Altos High School. This website was created mainly to show my art, but here are some other things I have been doing recently…
I got into competitive programming, competing in the USACO silver division. I’ve also done many local and online team contests with my friends, like the Berkeley CALICO (Fall 2025, team MICROWAVE), Harker Programming Invitational, and Virginia Tech High School Programming Competition (2026, team REFRIGERATOR). I’m part of the Los Altos High Programming Club.
Outside of programming, I am a member of the Space Cookies FRC robotics team (Team 1868), where I work on computer vision for the programming subteam.
I have explored math beyond the classroom, earning an Honorable Mention at the 2024 Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad (BAMO).
I also participate in Stanford’s Seeds of Change program, learning about leadership and impact.
From September 2023 to September 2025, I volunteered with Assisteens of Los Altos.
In my free time, I love to ice skate, make art, compose and play music, write, and take long walks around the neighborhood.
I have been skating for seven years, although I have gone less frequently recently because of my busy schedule. I can do an axel, and my favorite spin is the broken leg. Of course, these took a lot of practice and MANY falls :).
I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and drums. I also compose and record my own music (Bandlab & Reaper).
In February 2026, I placed 2nd in the LAHS Freshman Poetry Battle with Heavy Hands.
